I often get questions asking about how people can streamline their social media efforts. My first tip is to limit the number of profiles that you manage. There are no rules saying that you have to be on every social media site. Pick your battles – pick one or two sites and focus your energy on them. Research these sites ahead of time and see which ones best match your target demographic.
Bonus tip – try out one of the many free desktop applications to help with your social media posting. Have a look at Tweetdeck or Seesmic Desktop.
