Our team at Strong Coffee recently launched a new website for a non-profit organization known as Painted Warriors. Painted Warriors is recognized for its unique, authentic and traditional Indigenous experience programs in Alberta, Canada. A recognized leader in outdoor programs specializing in archery, equestrian, aboriginal, survival, plant medicine and Mahikan trails, its ongoing mission is to provide fun in the outdoors while capturing a piece of authentic culture and lifestyle.

Opportunity

We were given the opportunity to design and develop a modern website for Painted Warriors. Some of the key areas of focus for this project included:

  • Redesigning the website by leveraging the Painted Warriors brand and integrating a unique adventure-based tone and feel
  • Re-organizing and condensing content with clear call to actions (CTAs)
  • Easy and quick access to package and program details
  • Payment gateway integration and matching security levels

Approach

Using a wealth of data gathered by Painted Warriors over the years, we analyzed the Painted Warriors audience in-depth to create a website that appealed to their needs.

We came up with a combination of earthy colours that provided good contrast and went with a rugged look over a more polished one to capture the essence of the outdoors.

We grouped the various packages into three descriptive silos: General Packages, Tour Packages and Training Programs – to make it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for.

With on-site detail collection forms as well as PayPal and Event Espresso integration for online purchases, we shortened and simplified the checkout process while giving the customers a variety of payment options.

We added Google Analytics tracking codes to the new website to obtain data on user behaviour on the website to lay foundation for ongoing website optimizations and improvements, which will be performed on a regular basis.
